Country star Chris Cagle grew up attending school in White Settlement and took a stab at college down the road at UT Arlington. He has since moved on to country stardom, but he hasn't forgotten Fort Worth.
What do you like about playing at Billy Bob's.? I have a long history with Billy Bob's. My mother used to have ties there, and I've always loved the guys there. When I got my record deal in 2000, it was kind of ironic that this was the place where I grew up watching music and now I'm on the stage. Plus, country fans in Texas are just unbelievable.
What is different about your new album? As an artist, I know what I do well and I know what I don't do well. I try to stay away from what I don't do well and stick to what I can do. This album's got a lot more positive music on it. I was never the guy to sing a lot of love songs or ballads; it was always about pain. There's not much pain anymore, so it's different.
What are your future plans? I plan on touring a whole bunch and trying to get this record up the charts as far as I can.
